Kzilla
Themer : John Dobbins Last Updated: 2002-06-11
This theme simulates the appearance of a KDE application running on the Linux operating system. It uses the system colors like Mozilla's Classic theme. Kzilla just simulates Linux, so it will work with any Operating System.

I tried Kzilla, with Moz1.01 which I like a lot, but I noticed the following. In Navigator, the section "When Navigator starts" is blank. going to Appearance, even with no change causes the loss of all button, and home page. Home page is settings are lost after Restarting. fp

Still contains a long-standing bug that I have e-mailed john about. You can't use the add account wizard in mail and news, as the buttons do not appear. Very annoying.

Nice design, but:
(Talking here is someone of productivity)
Isn't anybody capable to write a theme that is READABLE ???????
The themes I have seen until now are childish or very sentimental like this here!!!!!!
I want to read just normal text and nothing else and this very compact, please. Should be very simple, no?
If someone can embed this in a good design like this here oder Orbit, O.K. (and without taking again too much space, please!!!!)
The only one that is small is Little Mozilla and this is unreadable like the others: I do not want to have to learn again and again new symbols, this takes TOO much time!
Seems as if people here have too much time!

i like the look of this - any chance of a mozilla 1.1 version? and laterly a 1.2 version of course :)

I have not tried it but from the screenshots it looks like the gray color is awful flat
would be nice if the gray was more like the gradients in the KDE hi-color default style

A touch of Linux while working in Win. Like this theme a lot and look forward to a 1.2 release.

Good work! I would love to see this with the new crystal icon theme..

[10] Submitted by: yokem_55 on Tuesday December 10th 2002

Yeah, if this can be updated to 1.2.1 along with the latest Crystal icons I would use this in heartbeat. I already use the geramik gtk theme along with the classic theme so I can get the same consistent keramik look. With the crystal icons, this would be the iceing on the cake!

I like this theme very much. Would love to see it work with 1.2.1!

[12] Submitted by: Nilson on Monday January 27th 2003

Yes, please 1.2, or 1.3 ver. It is the best theme! Simple, but nice colors. It has a bit of an OS X "Aqua"
feel (a bit). Well, anyways, thanks.

An Update to this theme is allmost ready, but it will NEVER be offered on Mozdev due to anti-American comments made on the project owners list on a day when Americans are honoring those who were murdered 3 years ago.

John,

You cannot be serious. If you're proud to be an American, you ought also to endorse the related Freedom od speech you are enjoying as such. Secondly, are other Mozilla users 'guilty' in any way if some comments have been made you don't like personnaly ? As a Frenchman, should I never give help over the Internet because of other users addicted to 'French-bashing' ? I think is is preposterous, really. :-( Do I have to make an oath in order to use your Kdzilla theme, which looks wonderful btw ?

John,

I really appreciate your themes, …but I share Ronan Martorell's point of view.
To work in a constructive way, I would just indicate that I've worked on a French – English dictionary data base that ANYONE can download freely from:

John,

Blaming all the French for the remarks made by a few, seems rather shortsighted IMHO. Would you want to be held responsible for the remarks of some good 'ol "American" bozos living here in the US? Doubtful. (Quite frankly, some statements lately are pretty scary...it's a wonder some find their way out of a phone booth! )

Please reconsider your decision. I'm sure your themes are much appreciated--on both sides of the pond.
