LCARStrek has been my favourite Mozilla theme. Was disappointed when I upgraded from Mozilla1.4 to 1.5beta that LCARStrek wasn't compatoble with this version. I haven't felt this disraught since I was unable to use the Toys theme when I upgraded last year. I am looking forward to LCARStrek for Mozilla 1.5b ( and I pray that it is soon)

This theme has no flow, is blocky, and really makes webpages look bad. Its nothing short of an eye sore. It has some basic likings to the LCARS star trek interface, but not a whole lot.

Wonderful theme! I use it all the time. Being a long time TREKKER, I have no trouble using it. Easy interface, still have short cut links in my browser, and goes great with the other TREK items on my PC.

I use Mozilla 1.7 with no non standard extensions, but if I use lcarstrek the preferences/advanced - enable java ( and many more things ) are missing :(( is it an lcarstrek bug?

There was a problem with checkboxes in the initial LCARStrek 1.7 release, on there is a new 1.7 version that has this one fixed. It should be up here soon as well.

Firefox has become my browser of choice, I am currently using 1.0PR and will upgrade to the full release when it is out. I have used this Theme in Mozilla since I found it a very long time ago and would love to use it with firefox.

I began using this theme a few weeks ago. Another comentator here said it induced nausea, and it also did for me. But no longer -- now I cannot ever go back to the other 'contemporary' UIs, with their gradients, drop-shadows, etc., which now look to me, well, old-fashioned and quaint. Try and you'll see what I mean. If you lived in the 24th century would you want to use I.E. 6???

I just want to agree that an LCARS theme would be pretty darn cool for firefox. I have an LCARS theme for almost all of my skinable apps plus the Z-desk LCARS terminal and having a similar theme for firefox would complete the illusion.

Please, please port this to FireFox. I don't know what else to do. I've been waiting over a year to get an LCARS theme on FF. I won't go back to Moz, Netrape, or MSIE.
If you ported this to FF, a great deal of avid FF users would be incredibly happy...just look at all the comments above...
I'm going to end up using the Small FireFox until you make an LCARS theme. :|

this looks great.......too bad it doesn't work......or at least for me..........but my version of mozilla is supported!

os: windows XP ( I'm using a modified theme)
Mozilla version: 1.7.6

I downloaded your theme and selected glovbal intsllation. this is what happened:

I installed it and restarted mozilla, but the theme still had not been applied, even though I downloaded the correct version of the skin. I later tried using the "modern" theme that came with Mozilla but it did not work either. In fact, I tried downloading more themes from themes.mozdev.com, but none of them worked either. I tried again, this time without clicking OK for global installation, but that did'nt work either. I restarted my computer and did exactly the same thing but the skin still would not be apply. I turned off my firewall but again the skin didn't work. .So now I'm fed up and stuck with this "skinless" version of mozilla...................pls help.

I do hope that you decide to make millions of Firefox
Trekkies happy by modifying a version for the latest version of FIREFOX.

Millions of people have downloaded Firefox since it was released last December 2004, why not make this Theme work for Firefox. YOU WILL BE FAMOUS I WILL CERTAINLY BE HAPPY ENOUGH TO GIVE A DONATION.

I agree with all the previous commenters that you should make a Firefox version of this theme - I'm still using Seamonkey myself, and I don't plan to switch anytime soon, but considering that the Mozilla Foundation announced that they'll just leave Seamonkey users out in the cold by discontinuing the browser, I may have little choice in the future, and I sure would like to be able to at least still use this theme then.

Cool theme. Too bad most sites are made for light backgrounds. Also too bad you can't skin the titlebar. But besides that, very very cool. (Although I suppose you do things like extensive use of Greasemonkey. Wait, that's only for FireFox!)
