It is 'ready' for download, just click on 'Install' or 'File It' (if these are not shown in the page, update to Mozilla 1.4b. It is pretty stable, and faster than all older Mozilla's sofar).
P.s. Hoping to release a 1.4 version when the real Mozilla 1.4 is released.

There's a bug in the theme. If you open the composer window (i.e. the HTML editor), the buttons to format "align left, align center, align right and justify" are not correct. The theme inverses the align right and justify icons. (though the tooltips do give the correct info).

I'd like to see a wooden-look theme with carved-in icons, stained darker when enabled, natural when disabled.
Alternately, the icons could look like brass, light & dark, or rust(ic/y) iron like you see on trendy "rough-hewn" western furniture. (Not sure how you'd do the iron hardware in disabled mode. Maybe a lightened silhoutte on the wood with a couple empty "screw holes" where the icon was? :) ) You could make a whole cabinetry series like this with different woods & hardware.

To enlarge the font, create a text file in the chrome directory of your profile, called: userChrome.css
with the following contents:@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */
window, wizard, page, dialog {
font-family: Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif !important;
font-size: 12px !important;
font-weight: bold !important;
}Play with the 12px (for size), the bold (for the boldness), and the family name for the font face to be used.
The theme is designed to cope with font change as much as possible (all sizes are relative to the sizes specified for window, page, wizard and dialog) (no fixed sizing for boxes, buttons,etc).
Have fun playing around.
Note that you need to restart Mozilla to apply the changes of userChrome.css.
Note also that the '!important' is important, and needs to be there to override the theme settings.Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030716

I like this skin - but I see one minor problem. When what I think is a 'ListBox' is opened (like e-mail message folder), the wood color is on what I think is the current item. When that item is selected, it becomes dark blue and the text color remains black, thus very hard to read. Going to another folder and then returning brings it back to the wood color again. Same problem with the 'Manage Cookies' in Preferences - the blue over black font is hard to read. I also tried the Gray Modern skin and it seems to work the way the Classic & Modern themes handled these cases. Can you tell me how to fix it in the chrome folder? Thanks.

chance you could put a delete button at the lower-right

From looking at the sample, I would have to say that this one needs a lot of improvement.
See the guy's comments in number 33, on some ideas of how this could actually be more than just a simple background.

I opened up the .jar file to see how it was made, and I stumbled across the progressmeter .gif, but it's not working with the theme; all I have is the ugly "M" progressmeter. :-(
I think the progress meter included would be an improvement over the "M", I'd like to make my own - I was thinking more of a table-saw blade... ;-)

I enjoy using this theme -- it has made me very happy to get away from the ubiquitous microsoftish grays and blues. Have been using it for months, happily. I've experienced the problems mentioned in posts #24, 45, 47 --and also the one about how it always wants to use the variable-width font for email composition. Still, I am very fond of the wooden scrollbars and other details. Very nice "environment" for web browsing.

Here my workaround how you can use the 0.9 theme with Firefox 1.0.
Search for the old file "walnut_ff_09.jar" normally it is stored in the profile. Copy it to another place.
Rename it to "walnut_ff_10.jar".
Open the jar file with a packer like winrar.And replace in files
contents.rdf and install.rdf
every 0.9 with 1.0 and replace old files in the jar file.
Now open Firefox 1.0, open the themes dialog and drop the jar file into the left themes window.
Now you will be asked to install - YES.
Next Browserstart you can choose the walnut-theme.If your browser crashes after themes installation you may have forgotten to replace an 0.9 to 1.0 in one file .

My Favorite theme. In the mail app, the line highlighting or selecting the message to read is dark blue and the text is black so you can't read the subject, author, etc. Is there any way to change the color of the bar or have the text appear in white instead of black?

I'm using it with Mozilla 1.7.5 and it looks and works great. However, there is one small asthetic bug that I would like fixed if it's not too much trouble.
In Mail or Download Manager, when you select an item (message or file), the item is highlighted in dark blue/black. Some of the text is reversed so that it displays light on dark, but other text is not and is displayed dark on dark - virtually unreadable.
Great work on this theme dude - it's the only one I use anymore. Have you considered making one stained cherry for a nice, deep, rich, reddish wooden finish? :)

I like this theme!!
Anyway, I noticed that emoticons are not converted but they remain in the code form .
However this is only an aesthetic bug..michele

Nice work! But neither the 'Stop' nor the 'Print' icons are showing on their respective buttons, although the text part is. Also, the secure status (lock icon) doesn't show an image, yet the button is there (with balloon.)
Hey, a mahogany-toned version would be great, too!

It seems you can ignore that last. I was swapping themes around and the missing icons reappeared (and the IRC chat icon disappeared on my "classic" theme), so it's most likely that something about my system is not completely stable. Either that, or Mozilla 1.7.5 theme handling isn't quite perfect.

I second #74 - black on dark blue is close to unreadable.
An excellent theme, otherwise.Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041221 - [76] Submitted by: Pete DP on Wednesday 4th May 2005 at 09:51 -0400

The Wood and Walnut themes are not what they could be. Generally, most folks would like a wood theme but these are tooooo bland and toooo right angled. Come up with a wood type theme that is darker and richer looking with rounded or curved edges. A smoother bubble look body with larger icons would be a hit.
